Event Description: |
Extremely challenging single loop course encompassing most of a tropical island that involves the ascent and descent of two volcanoes. Several micro-climates of jungle, dry tropics, tropical beach,and cloud forest. Course winds through wild singletrack and dirt road as it passes towns, villages,coffee, banana plantations, cloud forest, and gnarly volcanic trail. Begins with a pre-race meal and ends with a post-race awards banquet. Held in conjunction with humanitarian kids race Calzado para Ometepe 5k. Run 100k under 12 hours and your entry fee will be refunded! |
